The List of skills in forensic medicine and medical law

         

Each doctor despite of his speciality must possess  necessary skills for being able to work as a forensic doctor.

  1. To hold techniques of forensic investigation of corpses of adults, newborns and young children:

-        to be able to estimate early and late post-mortem changes for judging about the time death come in;

-        to know order of description of internal, external changes and injuries;

-        to conduct test for air embolism (Sunchov’s test), for pneumothorax;

-        to learn main types of anatomic section for human body autopsy;

-        to know ways of section of internal organs and body’s cavities;

-        to be able to describe pathological changes of internal organs, body’s cavities, bones of skeleton.

  1. To know rules of extraction, packing and sending of materials to additional investigation: forensic-histological, forensic-toxicological, forensic-immunological, forensic- criminalistics, forensic-cytological, forensic-bacteriological, forensic- virologic, biological.
  2. To fulfill measures preventing spreading of infections while investigation corpses of people died from acute contagious diseases.
  3. To be able to formulate forensic diagnose.
  4. To be able to write out death certificate according to demands of “International Statistical Classification of Diseases”.
  5. To know methods and ways of corpse investigation in place of accident or in place of its discovery.
  6. To conduct ways and methods of discovering and packing of evidences of biological origin.
  7. To hold ways of investigation of human beings while:

-        conucting stage of difficulty of injuries;

-  undefined sexual status;

-        sexual crimes;

-        alcohol intoxication.

  1. To know demands of medical documentations (patient’s ambulatory card, clinical record and to be able to analyze them.

10. To be able to register forensic documentation of  corpse expertise and investigation, human being expertise and investigation.

11.To know the content of legislation in sphere medical activity and health protection of population, to demonstrate the skills to analyze them.

12.To know main laws which regulate medical practice.
